Amigo Mini Sub Kit

Itsuwa makes the Amigo line of vaporizers, so if you have heard of this brand you are at least a little familiar with Itsuwa.

Here are the specifications for their Mini Sub Kit, a high-watt package of moderate size that would fit into your pocket with ease.

Information is a little difficult to come by as they don’t run a straightforward website like Smok or Innokin. Design and controls are similar to what you would expect from the big names.

Two Sizes, Two Kits

The Itsuwa Mini Sub Kit is a small version of their Amigo APV set. This is comprised of a base unit and atomizer, similar to the eGo One by JoyeTech, but with an uncovered atomizer tube. There are two versions: 1500 mAh and 2200 mAh. The Mini is a 1500-mAh high-watt, sub-ohm device.

Familiarize Yourself with the Mini

The 1500-mAh Mini Sub Kit measures 18 mm wide: less than most mechanical and high-powered tube mods. You could attach one of the larger sub-ohm atomizers (RDAs, RTAs, or RBAs) but one of these items would probably appear over-sized for its base which comes in silver or black. An orange version is depicted in some advertising but might not be easy to obtain.

Itsuwa has not made their battery with a screen or multiple control buttons. There is just one button for turning the device on and off. It will run at up to 50 watts, but that is the maximum output and you cannot control that.

As for indicating power so the user knows when to recharge his battery, there is a light indicator system in three colors: white, blue, and red. A white light tells you the battery is fine. You are a long way from needing to recharge at between 3.8 and 4.2 volts. At 3.4 to 3.8 volts the light changes to blue.

If you see the light change to blue, just keep in mind how long it will be before you have access to a laptop or other USB charging port. If the light is red you should probably stop vaping: voltage is between 3 and 3.4 volts and most vapers at the advanced level know they shouldn’t use a battery until it is completely drained.

Recharge the battery using a USB cable. Your port is located right at the very bottom of your battery.

Glass Tank

The atomizer is made from glass for a clean taste and complete transparency so you can see your juice level. This serves two purposes: telling you when it’s time to refill and also letting you look at the lovely color some juices take on. Even when coloring is not added, certain extracts take on a similar shade to honey which is lovely. While the 2200-mAh kit comes with a 22-mm, 4-ml tank, the Mini uses a 2-ml atomizer tank.

The atomizer head is made using USA Kanthal wire. O-rings provide a splash of color in contrast to what might seem an overly clinical or technical preference for black and silver. Each kit comes with a cable, O-rings, coil, the atomizer, mouthpiece, and base with built-in battery. The tank is made with an anti-leak design and can handle 0.5-ohm resistance or higher.

This kit, the Amigo Itsuwa, is a complete piece of garbage. Purchased it on Saturday afternoon and was already having problems Monday morning. The price is attractive but don’t be fooled. You’re purchasing garbage.
