Everyone’s making variable watt box mods these days.
Smok has made some. Innokin is releasing an iTaste MVP 3.0 Pro for 60W modding. Kanger carries a Kbox 40W device. Sigelei, Cloupor, Eleaf, and Pioneer4You are on top of the trend too.
With their Vapros Nunchaku, consumers might have wondered if Vision was going to stop here with an 18W, 2000-mAh tube mod, but they would have been mistaken. Vision was just winding up for the pitch.
Vision Vapros iBox VW Mod
The Vapros iBox offers a range of 3 to 6 volts and 3 to 25 watts. It is equal to the challenge of vaping with sub-ohm tanks like the Atlantis, thanks to a capacity for 0.5- to 1.8-ohm resistance.
I love the modern style of the Vapros iBox which eschews color in favor of practicality, yet still manages to look cool. Geometric patterns cover a black case that resembles a really small radi measuring 95 by 54.3 by 18.4 mm. At 245g, (just over half a pound) it’s slightly heavier than an iStick but still very light and portable with its rechargeable battery and USB charging port.
While it is great if a mod possesses strong aesthetic qualities, it’s even better when practical elements are carefully and sensibly arranged. There is a large button at the front surrounded by a dial.
This is your “enter” button for choosing functions from the menu such as voltage or wattage settings. Turn the dial to adjust settings. An LED light glows red if you are in “voltage” mode or blue for “wattage” mode.
Codes on the screen tell you what adjustments you are about to make or what error has occurred. Did your mod shut-off suddenly? You will see right away if this was an over-vape cut-off, for instance.
The USB port is located at the top on one side, not at the bottom like some ports. Vapers can rest it upright on its base, although USB pass-through vaping is not recommended. Like the MVP by Innokin, this iBox is also a power source for recharging other devices (like the MVP) including smart phones and MP3 players.
A bright, wide screen is located top center. The power button is a sliding switch with ridges for excellent grip and contact.
You can also choose either 510 or eGo atomizers, both of which will work just fine with the Vision Vapros iBox. Select a sub-ohm tank, RDA, RBA, or even a low-ohm clearomizer.
Protanks, Aerotanks, iClear, Smok VCT, and Nautilus tanks or clearomizers will all be put to good use. Vision’s V-Spot Atomizer is another good choice, although it only works at 1.5 or 1.8 ohms resistance.
But as you can see, the 6W to 25W range isn’t just for 0.5-ohm vaping, and you can achieve excellent vapor clouds and wonderful flavor at low ohms with an organic cotton coil and top-class tank.
More from Vision
Vision has been busy designing and releasing new products recently. They are best known for ViVi Nova tanks and the Spinner battery, but their Vapros series is filling up with interesting products.
These include a new Nunchaku VW battery with a spinner base and 18W maximum capacity. The lowest resistance you can achieve on the Nunchaku 2000-mAh battery is 0.5: about the same as the 1500-mAh iBox.
Their V-Spot Atomizer is a 2-ml VDC tank. Receive a full electronic cigarette with the 1299 kit. This Vapros device 1299 contains a 1650-mAh battery and a 5-ml clearomizer rated for 1.5 or 1.8 ohms.
